Achrome — Fine Art

The Achrome - 1961 by Piero Manzoni leaves most of the surface bare. White clay and kaolin fill the picture in a pale ground. The artist cut the cloth with stamps and relief marks that stay close to the surface. The picture sits inside his wider achrome series, where colour gives way to material and shape.
