Acrylic on canvas — Fine Art

Acrylic paint spreads across the canvas in open colour fields and quick brush marks. Sam Francis worked with acrylic on canvas in a style built on broad colour areas and thin lines. The paint covers the surface in a way that leaves space between the colour areas.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The frame is black, so the edge of the image reads as a clean line against the paint. The picture stays on the wall without extra hardware.

In a reading corner, the colour bands draw the eye before the small marks do. From the chair you notice the open colour first.
