Akrab — Fine Art

Akrab - 1969 carries a broad sweep of brushed colour across the sheet. Ronnie Landfield builds the picture from wide painted areas, with one strong mark pulling the eye along. The surface shows speed in the brush moves and a plain background holding the colour.

This fine art print uses a matte paper so the painted bands stay flat and the colours do not shine under a lamp. The frame follows the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

On the landing wall between two doors, the broad painted areas read clearly from a step back, while the brush pressure shows when you stand near the stair rail.
