Amadeus — Fine Art

The title Amadeus points to a musical subject, and Paul Jenkins built this image with wide poured washes and thin streams of pigment. Across the room the colour moves in soft bands. Up close the edges stay loose and slightly uneven.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back. The metal goes straight onto a nail or screw, so the print sits on the wall without a separate frame. On the matte paper the thin washes read as quiet layers rather than flat blocks of colour.

It fits above a tall cabinet in a study. From the doorway the broad bands of tone run horizontally. Standing near the desk you notice the small runs where the paint thinned out.
