About this work
Angle Et Taches 1968 shows sharp angular lines meeting scattered marks on a muted ground. The picture belongs to the abstract practice of Antoni Tapies, where rough strokes and matter-like patches sit beside clear geometric forms. You notice the tension between the straight angles and the uneven spots first.
The fine art print keeps those marks readable on a matte sheet, so the pale patches do not wash out under strong light. A light frame on a dark wall lets the angular lines stand out without crowding the surface. The finish follows the wall you choose.
On a narrow hallway wall near the coat hooks, the angular lines catch your eye as you pass. Daylight from the side window softens the scattered spots and leaves the darker strokes plain. The print stays readable at arm length.
