Arcs and Bands in Colors — Fine Art

Arcs and Bands in Colors shows curved bands and colour bands set against a plain ground. The shapes follow a clear plan, and the bands stay separate from one another. Sol LeWitt built the image from repeated lines and flat colour areas, so the picture reads as a set of rules made visible.

The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A black frame gives the curved bands a hard stop at the edge. The frame keeps the colour bands from fading into the surround.

It settles on a dining room wall near the table. From the bench you see the bands move across the sheet. At the chair you notice the straight borders between each colour.
