Around the Blues

Around the Blues by Sam Francis spreads open colour washes across a white ground. The painter worked with thin layers and accidental edges, letting pools of blue push into one another. A few darker strokes cut through the wet colour and hold the field together.

This fine art print comes ready to hang, with a metal hanger fixed to the back that sits on a nail or screw. The paper stays matte, so the blues do not shine under a lamp.

It suits a reading corner with soft light from a side window. From the chair you notice the broad blue areas, and the thinner marks show when you turn a page.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
