Arrest No 674 1 1988 — Fine Art

Arrest No 674 1 1988 by Gerhard Richter leaves space around the image and lets the tones stay quiet. The work uses a simple layout with soft areas of paint and places the subject without loud detail. A steady grey field holds the scene and keeps the eye on the centre.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. A white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall and keeps the painted area separate from the room. The matte paper holds the greys without shine and shows the thin paint areas as they are.

In a bedroom, the picture reads from the bed with a soft light on the wall. The grey tone sits calm against the bedding and the frame edge stays clear at the side.
