About this work

Bathers

Bathers - 1963 shows figures in a calm outdoor setting, painted in the style of modern Australian painting. The forms read soft against a clear ground, with loose strokes that follow the bodies. Brett Whiteley worked from observation, and this image keeps that direct look.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang. A metal hanger on the back fits straight onto a nail or screw, so you do not need a separate frame. The matte surface keeps the skin tones soft and stops a shine from a ceiling light.

In a bedroom, the picture reads quietly on a side wall away from the window. From the bed you see the grouped forms, and from the doorway you notice the loose strokes around them.
