Baton — Fine Art

Baton - 1986 by Ron Gorchov sits on the paper as a group of colour planes laid side by side. The paint fills broad areas that meet at measured edges, a method the artist used across his career. Thin shifts between the tones give each band its own weight on the sheet.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, so the metal hanger on the back goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a frame. The matte ground keeps the painted planes soft and stops glare when the light falls flat.

In a study corner, the flat colour bands read clearly from the desk without crowding the wall. From the doorway the tones stay even, and the view settles on the length of the sheet.
