Bird in the Wind by Richard Pousette-Dart — Fine Art

A bird shape moves across the paper in Bird in the Wind, carried by quick lines and scattered marks. Richard Pousette-Dart built his work from layered brushstrokes and soft tones. The form stays open and does not settle into a hard outline. You can feel the speed of the hand in the uneven edge of the shape.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

In a small study above a wooden desk, the paper sits on the wall beside a stack of notebooks. From the chair you see the bird shape move across the field, and the thin lines follow the same direction as the desk edge.
