Black Philodendron and Lemons 1943 — Fine Art

Black foliage and bright fruit sit on a plain surface in Black Philodendron and Lemons 1943. The leaves hold their dark shape against the fruit, and the clear outlines keep the picture steady. From across the room the shapes read as simple flat forms, and up close the edges show how the surface was built.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The frame holds the print flat and the back panel keeps it ready to hang. Matte paper keeps the dark leaves and pale fruit from shining back under a lamp.

Hang it on a wall above a side table near a window. From the doorway the dark leaves and fruit sit clearly against the wall, and you notice the flat colour areas at a short distance.
