Blaufeuer — Fine Art

Blaufeuer - 1964 sets a blue field against a pale background. The blue sits in a broad area and the rest stays open. Ernst Wilhelm Nay painted in this abstract style often. The marks here are wide and unhurried.

This fine art print hangs on a wall that gets soft light. The matte face keeps the blue from turning shiny. A light frame on a dark wall or a dark frame on a pale wall follows the room. Beside wooden furniture a wood frame blends in.

In a kitchen near the sink the blue spreads across the wall at shoulder height. From the table you see the colour first, then the open space beside it.
