Blue 2 — Fine Art

Blue 2 by Georgia OKeeffe uses a plain blue field with a few darker marks near the centre. The eye rests on those marks and moves slowly outward.

The rest of the sheet stays open. Georgia OKeeffe often worked with simplified colour areas and close crops. The fine art print keeps the surface smooth, so the blue tones do not shine under a lamp.

You can choose a light frame on a dark wall or a dark frame on a pale wall. It works above a low shelf on a north facing wall. From across the room the big blue shape holds the space, and up close the small marks stay quiet.
