Blue Ground - 1973 by Adolph Gottlieb shows a broad blue field with strong painted marks across it. The brush passes press hard and leave visible ridges. Some areas sit thick while others thin down to the surface.

This fine art print comes ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The paper is matte, so the blue stays even and there is no shine under a lamp.

In a study the print hangs on a side wall near a desk. From the desk chair you see the big blue field first, then the painted marks step forward as you lean in. The metal hanger holds it flat against the plaster and the picture stays steady.
