Blue Painting

Blue Painting - 1953 keeps the eye on a quiet blue ground with small shifts in tone across the surface. The painted surface stays even and the edges stay hard.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. Ad Reinhardt painted in flat colour fields and treated the whole sheet as one measured field. The frame finish can follow the room. A light frame on a dark wall lets the blue sit without a bright edge.

The print is matte on the face, so the colour reads without shine under a lamp. It hangs well on a hallway wall near the stairwell. From the landing you see the broad blue shape first, and the small tone changes up close.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
