Blumen 1985 — Fine Art

Blumen 1985 shows flowing shapes that read as blooms across the printed sheet. The lines move in soft shifts of tone, with lighter passages stepping down from darker ones. Sigmar Polke works in this raster and colour field painting style. You see the marks without any flash under the lamp.

The fine art frame in white gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. That white finish keeps the colour shifts visible and stops the eye from sliding off the sheet. The white frame suits the pale passages best.

On a kitchen wall near the cook top, the broad shapes read first from the table. Step to the sink and the small raster dots come into view. The lighter bands feel open above the stove.
