About this work
Bracelet 1930 by Alexander Calder shows a band shape drawn in thin black strokes across a white field. The eye follows the curve from one side to the other. Small shifts in the line weight give the band a sense of depth. A few empty spaces let the drawing breathe.
This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel, and it arrives ready to hang when you choose that option. The paper is matte, so the black strokes stay flat and the white ground does not shine under a lamp.
It fits a long hallway above a narrow bench. From the front door you read the curve first, and from the stair you notice the lighter gaps between the strokes.
