Bubble

Bubble - 1998 shows a square painted field with hard edged colour bands in red and blue. The bands sit next to each other without blending.

This is a work from the hard edge painting practice of Peter Halley, who uses flat colour planes to build space. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so the fine art print goes straight onto a nail or screw.

You do not need a separate frame. The ready to hang setup keeps the surface flush against the wall. It suits a dining room wall near a sideboard, where the red and blue bands read from the table.
