Calculating Space

Straight lines and small symbols fill the sheet in Calculating Space. The marks look like notes from a machine that measures angles and distances.

Konrad Zuse used drawing and plotting to work out form and structure within the picture. A fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel and hangs ready to hang when the option is used.

The flat surface gives the pencil and pen marks room to stay clear and the printed lines read without reflection. A study desk with a narrow lamp shows the marks from the side, and the desk lamp throws a soft line across the lower part of the picture.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
