Calmaria II — Fine Art

Calmaria II shows soft shapes and calm colour blocks across the picture ground. The eye moves along the painted bands and rests on the empty parts. Tarsila do Amaral uses broad washes that stay open and quiet.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The white frame gives Calmaria II a clean border on the wall. The frame edge sits close to the painted shapes, so the field reads as a clear image.

A dining room wall works well for this picture. From the table you see the broad colour bands and the open centre, with the frame edge holding the shape.
