Canyon Walls, Yellowstone sketch shows rock walls cut by a narrow river below. Thomas Moran drew the stone with clear lines and a warm brown ground. The marks follow the slope of the cliffs and stop where the water runs.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The surface is matte, so the brown tones stay soft and the pencil lines do not pick up a shine under a lamp. The frame finish can follow the room. A light frame on a dark wall lets the stone shapes stand out.

A hallway wall works well for this picture. From the stair landing you notice the dark cliff lines first, then the pale water line lower down.
