Cathedral by Frantisek Kupka — Fine Art

Cathedral by Frantisek Kupka belongs to the abstract studies the artist made in his early career. The picture presents bands of colour and angular forms that move across the field without a clear subject. Kupka often worked in this way, looking for rhythm in colour and shape rather than a scene.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. This print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger on the back. The hanger goes straight onto a nail or screw, so you do not need to buy a frame. The matte paper keeps the tones soft and stops shine under a lamp.

It suits a hallway wall above the coat hooks, where the broad colour bands read from the doorway. In the morning light the lighter tones show first, while the darker marks stay quiet until you stand nearer.
