Classic Yellow Sun-Box

Classic Yellow Sun-Box - 1968 shows a yellow form set near a ground tone. The artist Theodoros Stamos used this title for a work that reads as an abstract shape. The yellow sits against a darker field so the form stands out without extra detail.

A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel holds the image steady. The frame gives the yellow shape a clean edge and the matte surface keeps the tone even under a lamp.

On a dining room wall the yellow form reads first from the table. When you walk past the door the shape stays simple and the frame keeps the marks contained.
