About this work
Coast Guard Station, Two Lights, Maine opens on a white building set against water and sky. The picture splits the eye between the station on one side and empty shore on the other. The scene keeps most of the paper bare. Blocks of colour sit in plain bands.
The fine art print comes ready to hang. The artist works from observation, recording what is seen without adding extra detail. Edward Hopper painted this in a realist way, using calm colours and clear lines. The print arrives with a metal hanger on the back. You fit it to a nail and the print goes straight onto the wall.
No frame is needed. The metal sits flat behind the sheet. A hallway wall above the radiator works well. You notice the white building first, then the quiet water behind it.
