Composition 1952 by Rene Portocarrero

Composition 1952 by Rene Portocarrero uses strong colour blocks set against a darker ground. Bright tones sit over a deep shadow, so the marks read as separate shapes.

The painter worked with bold colour arrangements and simple forms, a habit seen across much of his work. This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel, ready to hang when the option is used.

The matte surface keeps the darker tones soft and stops glare from a lamp. It fits a dining room wall above a sideboard, where the darker area holds the bright marks.
