Console with Two Windows 1948 — Fine Art

Console with Two Windows 1948 sets two window shapes against a plain ground. Raoul Dufy builds the forms with quick brush sweeps and a few thin pencil strokes. The paint sits in loose layers that leave the paper grain slightly visible.

This fine art print runs on matte paper, so the soft greys stay quiet under a lamp and the marks do not shine. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black, and the clean edge gives the image a firm line on the wall.

It reads well above a kitchen sink where the light stays even. From that spot you notice the window shapes first, then the uneven paint edges, and the plain background keeps the focus on the drawing.
