Coral Marine — Fine Art

Coral Marine by Sam Francis holds a broad wash of warm coral tones over a light ground. The paint spreads in open colour fields with a clear edge where the brush lifts. No hard outlines separate the form from the sheet.

The fine art print uses a white frame finish that gives the picture a clean edge on the wall. The matte paper keeps the coral tones read flat under a ceiling light.

On the landing wall between two doors the coral field reads as one soft shape at a distance. Step closer and the brush edge becomes visible. The white frame sits right against the plaster.
