About this work
This print shows two round fruit forms, a quince and an apple, set against a plain ground. The soft brown and green tones sit next to each other without mixing. Julius Bissier painted simple fruit shapes in a calm way. The title Cotogna e mela - 28.12.41 - 1941 names the two subjects on the page.
The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the edges light so the fruit tones stay near the centre of the picture. A black frame gives a firm line that holds the two shapes in place.
It fits a kitchen wall above the sink. From the table you see the round outlines first. From the doorway the plain ground fills the space between the fruit forms.
