Cubo 1968 — Fine Art

Cubo 1968 by Alighiero Boetti sets a square form against a plain field. The shape sits off centre and leaves open space around it. From across the room the square reads as a solid block. Closer up the edges show small changes in tone.

The fine art paper takes ink without shine, so flat colour stays even on the sheet. A light frame on a dark wall makes the square stand out, or a dark frame on a pale wall settles it into the surface. The frame finish can follow the room you choose.

It hangs on the landing wall at shoulder height near the top stair. From the bottom step you see the square as one shape. Standing on the first tread you notice the small shifts inside the edges of the block.
