Cut Outs 3 — Fine Art

Cut Outs 3 shows sheets of painted paper cut into simple forms and arranged across the page. Henri Matisse stacked the shapes so the edges stay rough and the gaps between them remain visible. The colour sits flat, with no shading inside each piece.

You get a fine art print on matte paper that keeps the soft edge of the cut paper. A light frame sits well against a dark wall, or a dark frame works on a pale wall. The finish does not add shine to the flat colour.

Hang it above a desk where morning light falls across the sheet. From the chair you read the cut edges and the empty gaps before you notice the colours. The shapes stay clear even in a busy room.
