About this work

Delirious Pink

Delirious Pink by Hans Hofmann uses bright pink paint pushed across the surface with loose brushstrokes. The mark sits on a darker ground and the edges stay open. The artist worked in a gestural abstract painting style, moving paint in quick sweeps.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The back panel keeps the print flat. The frame holds the edges firm so the pink field stays clear.

It hangs on a study room wall near a desk lamp. From the chair you notice the pink band first, then the smaller brush passes near the top.
