Doorway of a Venetian Palace by John Singer Sargent — Fine Art

A narrow stone doorway opens into shadow in Doorway of a Venetian Palace. The painted scene holds a receding arch and a strip of bright wall on one side. Empty space sits on the other side, letting the eye rest.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel and arrives assembled when used with the ready to hang option. The matte surface keeps the stone tones even, so the painted edges stay flat.

On a kitchen wall near the sink, the doorway sits in morning light. From the chair by the table you see the arch clearly, and the dark stone remains steady.
