Empty space sits on the right, letting the tree stand alone without crowding. The eye moves from the trunk upward along the thin lines of the branches.

A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel holds the flat painted shapes and the hard flat colours. The paper is matte, so the yellow and green bands stay soft instead of reflecting light. You notice the tree first when standing in a hallway, and the empty side stays calm from the far end.
