Education — Fine Art

Education - 1966 by Johannes Itten sets bold letter shapes over a dark background. Thick red forms stand near thin blue marks on the left.

The dense layout reads from far away as a solid block. Near you the separate strokes and the paper grain become clear.

The fine art print keeps the flat colour areas clean on a matte sheet. Light on a pale wall and the frame can step back from the picture. A dark frame on a pale wall keeps the focus on the letters.
