Elective Affinities 1933 by Rene Magritte — Fine Art

A painted figure stands with a coat and a hat, and a second face appears behind the collar in Elective Affinities 1933. The image stays with the surrealist painting practice, where a familiar body holds a hidden look. Plain painted fields and simple outlines give the scene its calm hold.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte surface keeps the greys and the small painted details from shining under a lamp.

It fits a hallway wall beside the stairs, where you notice the coat line first and then the second face as you pass. The metal hanger lets the picture go up in a minute.
