Elements V — Fine Art

The composition of Elements V - 1984 rests on a pale ground where the eye enters at the left edge and moves toward a heavier mark set near the centre. Empty space around the shapes gives the layout room to breathe.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The matte paper keeps the painted tones soft and stops any shine under a lamp. A frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a dark frame on a pale wall, so the print settles into the space without drawing attention to itself.

It works on a study wall beside a reading chair, where the eye rests on the drawn line first and the quiet field second. From the desk you notice the weight of the central mark against the open paper.
