Encounter — Fine Art

Encounter - 2009 by Carmen Herrera shows a hard line cutting across a plain field. The painted edge holds a steady pressure from one side to the other. A thin border keeps the colour contained. The mark reads as a single measured pass.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The paper carries the line without a glossy sheen. The frame holds the sheet flat and the back panel keeps it covered behind the wall.

It sits on a kitchen wall above the sink. From the table you see the straight edge cut the space in two. The line stays sharp under the window light.
