Evocation Bleue 1989 by Chu teh Chun opens on a blue field with darker blue patches spread across the surface. The paint sits in soft layers that leave room for the eye to rest on a single tone. No sharp lines break the space. The marks move slowly from one area to another.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The paper arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

In a study above a desk the blue field holds its tone from a seated chair a metre away. The darker patches read as quiet shifts rather than sharp edges. You notice the soft paint marks before the room around them.
