Falls at Toltec Gorge — Fine Art

A narrow band of water runs through a rocky cut while a waterfall drops into it and mist rises. Falls at Toltec Gorge reads as a broad landscape from the far end of a hall. Up close, the paint sits in visible layers and the edges of the stone soften into the spray.

The fine art print uses a matte surface so the grey and green tones stay even under indoor light. A light frame on a dark wall keeps the water band clear against the room. A dark frame on a pale wall does the same for the rock shapes.

It works on a stairwell landing where you pass it twice a day. From the bottom step the waterfall shape reads first. From the top landing you notice the water tone and the darker stone below it.
