About this work
A thin black line runs across the paper in Feb 2-54 - 1954. The line lifts and settles in places, showing the pressure of a hand moving along a path. Ben Nicholson worked with painted lines and simple forms, and this print keeps that plain mark on the wall.
The fine art print comes ready to hang. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge. The white stays even around the line so the space around the mark does not feel crowded. You see the painted line first, and the frame sits back from it.
It fits on a kitchen wall above a shelf. From the table you read the line as it crosses the paper, and the white frame keeps the edge clear.
