Firewood

Firewood by Sam Francis uses open space as a main part of the picture. Broad washes of paint cover parts of the sheet and leave other parts bare. The work belongs to Sam Francis abstract painting practice, where colour and empty ground work together.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fixed to the back. You fit it straight onto a nail or a screw, and you do not need a separate frame. The matte surface keeps the paint tones steady under indoor light.

It goes above a low shelf in a study. From the doorway you read the large painted areas first, and up close you notice the thinner edges where the wash runs out.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
