Floating Ice on the Seine — Fine Art

Floating Ice on the Seine shows a narrow river with pale ice drifting past a dark bank.

The water carries grey and blue strokes, and the ice reads as broken white shapes near the surface. Across the room the ice and water hold their own shapes, while up close the brushwork turns into separate marks of paint.

The fine art print uses a matte surface so the cold tones stay even and there is no shine under a lamp. On a kitchen wall near the sink, you notice the ice patterns first, then the water strokes as you wait for the kettle.
