Flowers 4

Flowers 4 shows a loose cluster of blooms drawn with soft charcoal and pastel tones. Odilon Redon worked with these materials to build petals that fade into the paper. The sheet holds the line work and the colour patches together without hard edges.

The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. The fine art print keeps the soft greys from turning bright under a lamp.

It suits a hallway wall where the light passes over the paper each morning. From the doorway you notice the petal patches first, then the faint charcoal outlines closer in.
