About this work
Folklore - 1963 by Victor Vasarely uses a grid of bright coloured squares that step from one hue to another across the sheet. The eye lands on the central band and follows the change of tone toward the edges. Empty space sits at the corners, so the pattern stays open.
This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The sheet arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.
In a dining room, the grid runs along the wall near the table. From the doorway you see the stepping colours as a flat band, and from the chair you notice the even spacing of each square.
