Four Equal Groups of Four — Fine Art

Four equal groups of four by Max Bill holds a grid of shapes set into blocks. The eye finds the regular rhythm across the sheet, then rests on the open space between each block. Each group follows the same plan, so the layout feels built rather than drawn.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The smooth surface keeps the clean lines sharp, which suits the measured layout of the work.

In a study, the print sits above a desk and the repeated blocks line up with the books below. From the doorway the grid reads as one flat shape, while sitting down you notice the small gaps between each group.
