Frond and navel by Jean Arp — Fine Art

Frond and navel by Jean Arp shows a curving shape on a plain ground. The line bends and narrows in places, so the mark looks like a leaf pressed into the paper. The artist made shapes by folding and cutting, and this print keeps that method.

The frame finish can match the room. A light frame on a dark wall makes the grey line stand out. A dark frame on a pale wall gives the shape a quiet edge. The fine art version sits on the wall where the light stays even.

In a study room near the desk, the curve reads from the chair and the small changes in the line show up when you pass by. The shape stays simple and does not crowd the space.
