Fruit Basket — Fine Art

A fruit basket sits near the centre of the sheet, drawn with the soft swollen shapes and calm outline that Fernando Botero often used. The fruit rounds out against the space around it. Fruit Basket shows that same full form, with the eye resting on the cluster of fruit and the rest left open.

A fine art print uses a matte surface so the painted tones stay even and there is no shine under a lamp. The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It hangs on a kitchen wall near the sink, where the morning light falls across the fruit shapes and the painted outlines stay clear without glare.
