Gelmeroda 1936

Gelmeroda 1936 shows a church and village seen from a hillside. Buildings stack in thin planes with a few windows and a tall spire. The lines stay clean and the sky is left open. The artist worked in a Bauhaus style with sharp edges and a low horizon.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the small windows and roof lines from glare under a lamp.

From the foot of the stairs you see the church spire first. Up close the fine lines in the roofs and windows show the town layout.
