About this work

Gold Stone

Gold Stone draws on Lee Krasner and her swaths of paint laid in a loose sweep. The work stays with her method of pushing colour across a surface until the marks find their own order. A title like this hints at weight held in the paint itself.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The paper stays matte so the painted tones stay even under a lamp.

It fits a dining room wall beside a wooden table. From the doorway you see the broad painted shapes first, then the smaller shifts of tone as you step closer.
